International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)
The International Council of Central Florida is the local branch of the
International Leadership Program which is administered by the U.S.
Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and its
Office of International Visitors, operating under authority of the Mutual
Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961 (Fulbright-Hays Act).
The emphasis of the program is to increase mutual understanding through
communication at the personal and professional levels. Participants are
established or potential foreign leaders in government, politics, media,
education, science, labor relations, and other key fields. They are selected by
American embassies overseas to visit the United States to meet and confer
with their professional counterparts, and to experience this country firsthand.
The International Visitor Leadership Program is part of the U.S Department
of State Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs bring International Visitors
to the United States to be involved in professional exchange with colleagues
in their field.

Our Mission
Our mission......very simple, Peace, one handshake at a time. If we can
show the rest of the world we are no different then we have achieved the
greatest tool and ally for diplomacy. This is why the real American is so
important, without the farmer, the shop owner, the teacher, and mechanic
we are nothing more to the world than a movie
Internship Programs
ICCF is a training ground for students looking at careers working with the
federal government, international affairs, or international business.
Internships at ICCF are arranged 2 to 5 months in advance and can be very
rewarding. You will learn every aspect of the non-profit world, and also
learn basic protocol, logistics, and programming knowledge. Requirements
need to be met in order to apply for an internship. Internships are not paid
and will only provide for travel stipends. Interns must reside in the Central
Florida area during the entirety of the internship.
1. Introduction email including a resume and recommendation from a college
professor
2. Understanding of Intern Job Description
3. Participation in an interview by: in-person, conference call, or Skype
