We are live from the National Meeting in DC. Unfortunately my staff was not able to make it to the meeting. DC was snowed in and flights kept being canceled. I will be here all day! There is so much snow everywhere that I do not think a run on the mall will work. We will be working hard all day.

August 4
August 4th, 2009Dear Readers,
Sorry for the absence of blogs. We have had issues with access to the website here at the office. Last week we showed a group of Chinese visitors around Central Florida. In between meetings the visitors had some time for recreation to visit Daytona Beach and Disney World. ICCF thanks Mr. Sam Goodwin and Dr. Don Matthews for meeting with the visitors and discussing development in Daytona Beach. At the end of August ICCF has two programs coming up back to back. The first group is from Kazakhstan followed by a group from Kyrgyzstan.
Best Regards,
Joe

July 16th, 2009Dear Readers,
Today we worked on getting the project booklets done for the visitors coming from China on Sunday. They will be here through the middle of next week. I’ll be spending the day with them on Tuesday, which I am really looking forward to. Other than that I got another project proposal nearly finished, so I should be sending that one out soon. With any luck one of Joe or I’s project proposals will be accepted and we’ll be able to add a new and interesting project to our list for the coming months.
We’ll keeo you updated on the group from China, so stay tuned for more information!
Best Regards,
Alex

In addition, I am also working on a few other proposals that I should have out soon that are for late August and later.
We are currently preparing for the group from China that will be arriving on Saturday and will be staying with us next week for several days. We’ll keep you updated with their events and schedule.

Dear Readers,
Today I submitted a proposal for a group that will arrive in the middle of august. Despite bad luck that we interns have had the last month with previous project proposals, I remain hopeful about this proposal. July should prove to be a busy month. As you have read in other posts a group from China will be arriving this week, so be sure to check for more postings.

July 7th, 2009Dear Readers,
Today for the most part I finished working on the mailers with a few exceptions. I had started working on them last Thursday however they took much longer than I had expected. The mailes will be finished and in the mail by Thursday so expect new information soon. Other than that, Joe and I have been working on program proposals for programs in late August and early September.
We are looking forward to hosting the group from China that will be arrving this Saturday. Stay tuned for further updates on this group.
Best Regards,
Alex

Dear Readers,
The Resource Directories on the website are updated. I have also been trying to get in contact with local government officials. Unfortunately they have rarely returned my emails. Proposals have taken a back seat to updating the directories on the website. So there is no new news from me on the topic of program proposals, though there are a couple I have begun working on this week.

Dear Readers,
Today we cleared out some of the clutter from the office. The rest of the day for me was spent trying to contact local government officials and waiting to hear from those that I have already contacted. While waiting for e-mails I also updated some of the resource directories on the state department website.
Best Regards,
Joe
